# Word List

Preferred terms for Tempo products, with the words to avoid in their place.

## Overview

Use one term for one concept in every Tempo product. These terms are the ones [tempo.xyz](https://tempo.xyz), the [developer docs](https://tempo.xyz/developers), Tempo Wallet, and the Tempo token list already use. Write a term in lowercase unless the table shows a capital or it starts a sentence or label.

Where the sources use different words for the same thing, [Where the Sources Differ](#where-the-sources-differ) records the choice.

If you need a term that isn't listed, use the word your readers already use, and suggest it with Report issue on this page.
